New Format and Clues for Highland Light Letterbox

Letterbox Name:  Highland Light (Cape Cod Light) Letterbox

Location: North Truro, Barnstable County, Cape Cod , Massachusetts

Placed:  05 July 2001 by the Lonemasswolf and his companions You Inspire My Spirit, Jerry, Rae, Katy, Andrew and Conner

Accessibility: The grounds are open all year; the lighthouse is open from May 1 through October. Guided tours up the lighthouse tower are available seven days a week, from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

 

Driving Directions: From Route 6 in North Truro follow the signs to the Cape Cod Light.

 

Difficulty:  Easy, this is a drive by box.

CLUES TO THE LETTERBOX

 

Park your vehicle (car, bike, whatever) in the lot on the right, and proceed on foot to the observation platform on the east side of the lighthouse.

Now locate the exact spot for the original location of the first lighthouse. 21 paces due east of this spot will find the letterbox hiding beneath the boardwalk.

BE OF GREAT CARE THIS IS A HEAVILY TOURISTED LOCATION YOUR BEST BET MAY BE AFTER HOURS OR OFF SEASON.
